Catalog

A book designed for the solo exhibition Reflections of a Room at Volume Gallery, where the graphic structure and paper specifications translate the sensibilities of the pieces on display, published in 2022

Catalog is a book that flattens the reading of the gallery objects as ephemera and explores reflection through graphic experimentation. Figures are traced through layers of transparency, which are composed by the material of the paper itself and the ink printed on each page’s reverse face. Images flatten and align objects on a single sheet, compressing their depth and reducing three dimensions to a front and back elevation. Reflections appear as soft blurs across the spread, bouncing light from an imagined environment within the paper’s surface.
